Best Quilts For Sale

The best thing I can say about a down comforter is you can't smell it. The next would be quality. Comfort would be next, but I've never experienced an uncomfortable down comforter. This one is perfect for Northern California, that it is warm but not so thick as to be too warm. Might be a little thin for sub-zero, but it sufficient down to the 30's. The cover has a soft, smooth surface, like sateen and has good baffling to keep the down from drifting, which is also important, like brakes on a car. It also has discreet corner loops for duvet covers and is priced, in my opinion below its value.

The Paria Thermodown 15 quilt is incredibly warm as it features no less than 22 ounces of 700-fill power down. However, with a weight of more than two pounds, it is also the heaviest products in this review. The Paria quilt has a lower limit rating at 15 F and thus it is perfect for backpacking in relatively cold weather. It has a very light and breathable shell and comfortable inner layer. The Paria quilt comes with a stuff sack for easy storage and has two straps to easily secure it to your sleeping pad. It can also be closed up to form a standard mummy sleeping bag in case that temperatures drop too low. The Paria Thermodown 15 quilt is a great option for beginners as well as more experienced backpackers.

L.L. Bean prides itself in its unique baffle-box design to ensure that the down does not shift inside its cover: The fabric acts like a gate to keep the contents in place. With a 600 fill power and 100% cotton, 280 thread count cover, it's a versatile option with medium warmth that can be used all year long in many climates. Available in four sizes from twin to king, it's a great option for any bedroom in the house. It's machine washable, but only in a large commercial machine.

While most down comforters are white, this Cuddledown style is available in 13 different colors. The cover is 100% cotton sateen with a 400 thread count and it's filled with a 600 fill power so it can be used all year long. The box-stitched construction and reinforced seams help keep the down evenly distributed inside. It's machine washable, but recommended in a commercial washer.

Filled with humanely sourced duck down, the 600-fill-power Casper Down Duvet is every bit as strategically engineered as its famed mattress. A departure from traditional baffle-box quilting, its sewn-through seams create slim, rectangular chambers that hold the down and retain its fluffiness. As a bonus, it even has corner loops to hold a duvet cover in place.
